A long term interest in sustainability and development meant that Natco Foods was among the first companies in the U.K. to import lentils from Burma, Tanzania and Malawi in Africa. This action has helped farmers improve their standards of quality, which in-turn has improved their attractiveness to other European buyers. This leads to better prices for the farmers as demand grows.
